Simon is an F4B Director, Board member and Coordinator of our Charity’s Business Development portfolio. 

Simon has over 25 years of commercial and financial experience in both large international organisations as well as establishing several private enterprises.

Simon was educated at Brisbane Grammar School before going on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics at University of Queensland. Simon commenced his career with KPMG in Brisbane where he gained a broad financial and commercial experience across a range of companies and industries as well as obtaining membership to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Upon leaving KPMG, Simon spent 10 years overseas with a global listed investment company based in London and Hong Kong with roles including European and Asian Finance Director and oversaw joint venture operations in countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Philippines.  Simon returned to Australia taking up a senior commercial role at Lend Lease Australia before moving to a leading structured finance and investment company.

In recent years, Simon has established and run several business ventures including a leading financial services company in Sydney, a regional hotel group in Queensland and a specialised hospitality advisory group. Simon has been a Director of ASX and NSX listed entities, is currently on the board of early stage venture to grow social investment in Australia and is a founding board member of a number of other private businesses in Queensland.

Simon is passionate about growing social investment in Australia to generate positive community outcomes, is on the finance committee of his local golf club and in his spare time enjoys tennis, golf and fly-fishing.
