Stephen is an F4B founding Director, Board member and current appointed CEO.
F4B is Steve’s vision and legacy to families of children with functional and intellectual disabilities, including his own family. Steve and his wife, Amy, are parents to six children, with their eldest son diagnosed with an obscure seizure disorder with associated intellectual and physical disabilities. Steve is a career police officer working across State, Commonwealth and international jurisdictions; with a background in executive & operational leadership/management positions in hospitality; event & venue security; and SME business start-ups.

Amy is an F4B Founding Director, Board member and Clinical Review Panel Chair.
Amy’s penchant for not only providing the best services as a medical professional, but also enhancing its delivery through evidence-based practice, inspired her to attain a Doctor of Medicine in 2018 from Griffith University Medical School. As a mother of six young children, including a son with disabilities, undertaking medical studies is a source of inspiration for women in similar situations and demonstrates Amy’s passion for her profession and serving the community in need.

Professor Darrell Crawford (MBBS, FRACP, MD, FAASLD, FGESA) is a clinical academic Hepatologist with a strong international reputation in the field of liver disease. He has held multiple leadership positions within the Medical School and Faculty of Medicine including Mayne Professor of Medicine, Associate Dean Strategic Development and Dean of Medicine and Head of School.

F4B is honoured and excited to welcome Dr Julie Adsett as our Charity’s Director of Research / Program Development.
Julie has over 25 years experience working as a Physiotherapist in the public sector. After graduating from the University of Queensland with first class honours, she commenced work at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she gained broad experience in the management of acute and chronic conditions across both adult and paediatric populations. She subsequently worked in London as well as the University of Queensland before returning to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital into her current position as an advanced Physiotherapist with the Heart Support Service.

John was born and raised in Nepal where he began his professional career across a range of corporate roles in small-medium businesses. This experience includes over a decade administering and managing onshore and offshore projects; and supporting the operation of a variety of non-profit, NGOs and fund-raising organisations.
John is also a Founder & Director of Flying Ravens, an ICT + Marketing Communication Company that specializes in providing strategic growth for SMEs.

Simon is an F4B Director, Board member and Coordinator of our Charity’s Business Development portfolio.
Simon has over 25 years of commercial and financial experience in both large international organisations as well as establishing several private enterprises. Simon was educated at Brisbane Grammar School before going on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics at University of Queensland. Simon commenced his career with KPMG in Brisbane where he gained a broad financial and commercial experience across a range of companies and industries as well as obtaining membership to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Rebecca has over 20 years’ tax and accounting experience working for various companies including Deloitte, KPMG, Macquarie Bank and the Ray White Group. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW and is also a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.
Rebecca is currently Finance Director of the Ray White Group and has been a trusted advisor to the White Family for over 14 years. Her role includes being responsible for ensuring the Ray White Group and White Family meet their taxation and financial reporting obligations. Rebecca also holds the role of Company Secretary for several Ray White Group companies.

Shelly is the lessee of the Yeronga Park Swimming Pool Complex and Dunlop Park Memorial Swimming Pool (Corinda). The Yeronga Park Swimming Club has a long and proud history in local, state, national, and international arenas of the sport. Established in 1965 by the Henry family who are still members of the club today, it has evolved to its current standing through the hard work of dedicated swimmers, parents, and coaches.
Shelly has been operating the Yeronga Park Swimming Pool Complex for the past 25 years, and over that time has constructed a new recreation pool, indoor teaching pool, cafe and a state of the art 25m pool. Shelly’s passion for swimming and for the community has been an integral part of developing the success of the complex.
F4B is excited to be headquartered at Yeronga Park Swimming Pool Complex and humbled to have Shelly’s support as our Patron – and also the support of her dedicated family and professional team of instructors and complex staff.

F4B is honoured and excited to welcome Grand Master Seungha (Bruce) Lee as Director of our Adaptive Taekwondo Skills Program.
In his homeland of South Korea, Grand Master Lee is an honorary university professor in the field of Taekwondo, having studied the national sport at tertiary level, and achieved his 8th Dan Black Belt after 40years as a practitioner. He also holds a 7th Dan Black Belt in the Korean combat martial art of Hapkido Grand Master Lee holds Bachelor & Master degrees in Sports Management & Science and trained more than 900 Taekwondo students to the level of black belt.

With a love of exercise and a dedication to providing her clients with the best possible care, Ebony believes that creating a positive and trusting relationship between the client and clinician is of the utmost importance, and her number one priority is helping her clients live their best life.

Angus is a qualified and registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist after graduating from the University of Queensland with of a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology with Honours (BClinExP(Hons)). He is an AUSTSWIM accredited Swimming & Water Safety Teacher and a nationally accredited Fitness Instructor. Angus comes to F4B with frontline experience and insights into how structured exercise can positively impact the lives of youth with learning and perceptual disabilities and their families.
Throughout Angus’s formative years, he was fortunate to enjoy a broad range of sporting experiences and successes; gaining notoriety as a ‘code-hopper’ for opting to dabble in as many sports as was feasible. With each sporting club came a renewed sense of community and belonging, which has benefited his personal growth and professional development through bearing witness to the positive connections club memberships bring to both individuals and families.

Mackenzie is a swim coach that has been with F4B since 2021. He has been a competitive swimmer himself for over a decade with Yeronga Park Swimming Club, and in that time has had the opportunity to train and compete alongside Olympic, Paralympic, and Special Olympic athletes and coaches. Mackenzie has represented Queensland University of Technology at national level competition and is a long-standing senior member of YPSC’s national squad.
